Lawncare Services (A.L.C.S.) Terms of Service
Scheduling:
1. A.L.C.S. office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please
feel free to leave a voice mail/email at any time, it will be returned at the
earliest possible convenience. During the busier parts of the season our work
schedule sometimes requires Saturday scheduling.
Saturday scheduling is on a as-needed basis
and determined by A.L.C.S. Sundays will not be scheduled.
2. Schedules are generated and invoices will be emailed/mailed during the last
week of the month preceding the coming month’s schedule.
3. If we have heavy rains/extreme heat during the week,
safety and quality of service is a priority. The schedule on your
invoice will temporarily be out of alignment. Once work resumes after the above
conditions abate, your schedule will remain as it appears on your monthly
invoice.
Billing:
1. Customers electing to Monthly Prepay
for services, must make sure that payment is received by A.L.C.S. prior to the 1st
service of the month. If payment is not received by the first schedule service
a fee will be added to the next month’s invoice equal to the
under-payment for every service date that received a pre-payment discount but was not pre-paid.
If A.L.C.S. is late in sending schedules/invoices, the above will be will granted some flexibility.
2. Regular Payment customers that elect not to
pre-pay must make sure that their payment is received prior to the
last service of the month (unless other specific arrangements have been made). If
payment is not received by the last service of the month, the next month’s
scheduled services will be suspended until which time payment is received.
3. Suspended accounts/Non-payment. Although rarely required, if accounts are not brought off suspension by payment, late fees will
take the following schedule: 10 days late = 10% on top of the original principal, 20 days
late = additional 20% on top of
previous compounded principal. After twenty days, your services will be terminated and
amount owed, plus interest, will be forwarded to credit agency for payment.
Services Defined:
1. Our regular “mowing service” consists of mowing, trimming (lawn areas
unreachable by mower) & blowing any debris left on hard surfaces. A request
to do anything beyond the above has to be pre-arranged via email/phone/in
person and will be billed according to whatever the request entails.
2. If there is seasonal debris (mid-October and onward/April to May) or debris
from weather, i.e. heavy leaf fall or downed limbs there is more work involved
on the service end, if necessary an extra charge for cleaning it up and bagging
and removal will be added to the following invoice.
3. “Double Cutting” is sometimes required when grass periodically gets too long
in between services. This is a sign that scheduling changes need to be
considered. If this becomes a continual issue, a service fee will be added to
your next month’s invoice to cover additional fuel and time required to
effectively maintain the property.
Property responsibility and liability
1. We do not repair or replace damaged or broken sprinkler
heads. Sprinkler equipment failure is not the responsibility of A.L.C.S., i.e.
pop-ups that don’t return to the proper position is equipment failure.
Equipment installed and working properly should never be damaged by lawn
equipment. A.L.C.S. will not take responsibility for sprinkler heads/system
that are not installed property and as a result are
damaged by our equipment. A.L.C.S. WILL take responsibility after damage has
been inspected and determined that damage was caused by A.L.C.S.’ carelessness
or negligence. If so determined, A.L.C.S. will assume responsibility.
2. We will not take responsibility for any exposed wired, cables, electrical
cables, etc. that are not installed property and are cut or damaged by our
equipment. If it is determined that damaged was caused by carelessness
or negligence, A.L.C.S. will assume responsibility.
3. We are not responsible for foreign matter left on the lawn, i.e. toys,
hoses, paper, tables, chairs etc. If obstacles are left on mowing/trimming area, they will be
serviced around.
4. If vehicles are near (within reason) the mowing/trimming areas and it is
judged that danger to said vehicles from thrown rocks/pebbles/debris is real,
the area in question will be passed over.
Cancelling Service:
1. A.L.C.S. does not require monthly contracts. We believe that with great
communication between customer and service provider, continued, exceptional
service is always possible. With that said, in the event that services need to
be discontinued at the behest of A.L.C.S. or the customer, we will give/expect
at least two week’s notice for cancellation. Service and billing will continue
within those two weeks. Cancellation can be either written or verbal.
